In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

“ Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you.

“ Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding.Who determined its measures, if you know? Or who stretched the line on it?What were its foundations fastened on? Or who laid its cornerstone,when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Yahweh made the heavens.
