Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!

“ Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.

And this is the way to have eternal life— to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

In this way, they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them. And they will know that they, the people of Israel, are my people, says the Sovereign Lord.You are my flock, the sheep of my pasture. You are my people, and I am your God. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

“ He showed you these things so you would know that the Lord is God and there is no other.

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.

“‘ You formed me with your hands; you made me, yet now you completely destroy me.Remember that you made me from dust— will you turn me back to dust so soon?You guided my conception and formed me in the womb.You clothed me with skin and flesh, and you knit my bones and sinews together.You gave me life and showed me your unfailing love. My life was preserved by your care.“‘ Yet your real motive— your true intent—

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous— how well I know it.You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!O God, if only you would destroy the wicked! Get out of my life, you murderers!They blaspheme you; your enemies misuse your name.O Lord, shouldn’t I hate those who hate you? Shouldn’t I despise those who oppose you?Yes, I hate them with total hatred, for your enemies are my enemies.Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will thank you forever and ever, praising your greatness from generation to generation.

“ So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.

O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King.

Before you Gentiles knew God, you were slaves to so called gods that do not even exist.So now that you know God( or should I say, now that God knows you), why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual principles of this world?

Now, O Lord our God, rescue us from his power; then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone, O Lord, are God.”

But he led his own people like a flock of sheep, guiding them safely through the wilderness.

O Zion, messenger of good news, shout from the mountaintops! Shout it louder, O Jerusalem. Shout, and do not be afraid. Tell the towns of Judah,“ Your God is coming!”Yes, the Sovereign Lord is coming in power. He will rule with a powerful arm. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.

Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.

At the usual time for offering the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet walked up to the altar and prayed,“ O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, prove today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant. Prove that I have done all this at your command.O Lord, answer me! Answer me so these people will know that you, O Lord, are God and that you have brought them back to yourself.”Immediately the fire of the Lord flashed down from heaven and burned up the young bull, the wood, the stones, and the dust. It even licked up all the water in the trench!And when all the people saw it, they fell face down on the ground and cried out,“ The Lord— he is God! Yes, the Lord is God!”

Sometimes it seems as though we never belonged to you, as though we had never been known as your people.

Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly— not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never ending glory and honor.

“ I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep.I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.

“ For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search and find my sheep.

Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel!And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!”

But you don’t believe me because you are not my sheep.My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,

O God, why have you rejected us so long? Why is your anger so intense against the sheep of your own pasture?Remember that we are the people you chose long ago, the tribe you redeemed as your own special possession! And remember Jerusalem, your home here on earth.

But the Lord is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath.

“ So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock— his church, purchased with his own blood— over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as leaders.I know that false teachers, like vicious wolves, will come in among you after I leave, not sparing the flock.

Then they remembered those days of old when Moses led his people out of Egypt. They cried out,“ Where is the one who brought Israel through the sea, with Moses as their shepherd? Where is the one who sent his Holy Spirit to be among his people?

For God, who said,“ Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.

For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods.

What do you gain by oppressing me? Why do you reject me, the work of your own hands, while smiling on the schemes of the wicked?

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

for as I was walking along I saw your many shrines. And one of your altars had this inscription on it:‘ To an Unknown God.’ This God, whom you worship without knowing, is the one I’m telling you about.“ He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man made temples,

Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say,“ Life is not pleasant anymore.”

They say,“ We will lie to our hearts’ content. Our lips are our own— who can stop us?”
