He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.

He brags about what his heart desires. He speaks well of those who always want more. He attacks the Lord with his words.

For the wicked boasts of the desires of his soul, and the one greedy for gain curses and renounces the Lord.

For they brag about their evil desires; they praise the greedy and curse the Lord.

For the wicked one boasts about his own cravings; the one who is greedy curses and despises the LORD.

For the wicked boasts of his soul’s desire, And the greedy person curses and shows disrespect to the Lord.

Yes, the wicked man boasts because he gets what he wants; the one who robs others curses and rejects the LORD.

They prate, they speak arrogantly: All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.

But thine eyes and thy heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.

Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a scant measure that is abominable?Shall I be pure with wicked balances, and with a bag of deceitful weights?For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry.

They that trust in their wealth, And boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty; and they that sell them say, Blessed be Jehovah, for I am rich; and their own shepherds pity them not.For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith Jehovah; but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbor’s hand, and into the hand of his king; and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.So I fed the flock of slaughter, verily the poor of the flock. Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, And their dwelling- places to all generations; They call their lands after their own names.But man being in honor abideth not: He is like the beasts that perish.This their way is their folly: Yet after them men approve their sayings.[ Selah

Thou wilt destroy them that speak lies: Jehovah abhorreth the blood- thirsty and deceitful man.

Whom hast thou defied and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

He is a trafficker, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.And Ephraim said, Surely I am become rich, I have found me wealth: in all my labors they shall find in me no iniquity that were sin.

And Saul said, Blessed be ye of Jehovah; for ye have had compassion on me.

being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

They that forsake the law praise the wicked; But such as keep the law contend with them.

If I have made gold my hope, And have said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence;

The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.

But they that are minded to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts, such as drown men in destruction and perdition.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;

Though while he lived he blessed his soul( And men praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself),

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Woe to him that getteth an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!

And Jehovah saw it, and abhorred them, Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.

and it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to destroy the moist with the dry.

They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression: They speak loftily.They have set their mouth in the heavens, And their tongue walketh through the earth.

But now ye glory in your vauntings: all such glorying is evil.
