耶和华啊，谦卑人的心愿，你早已知道。你必预备他们的心，也必侧耳听他们的祈求，

耶和華啊，你知道困苦人的願望，你必垂聽他們的呼求，安慰他們。

貧者上祈、耶和華傾耳垂聽、而堅其志兮、

主歟、窮苦人所求者、主常垂聽、堅固其心、側耳聽其祈禱、

主已垂聽兮。謙者之音。必賜慰藉兮。堅固其心。

You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,

Lord, you hear the desires of those who are hurting. You cheer them up and give them hope. You listen to their cries.

O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear

Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.

LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble; you will strengthen their hearts. You will listen carefully,

Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear,

Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek: Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear;

Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their hearts. You will listen carefully,

LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:

LORD, you have heard the request of the oppressed; you make them feel secure because you listen to their prayer.

Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the intentions of the hearts of Your people, and direct their hearts to You;

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry for help and save them.

It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will listen.

But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers and sisters.Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears attend to their prayer, But the face of the Lord is against evildoers.”

For the needy will not always be forgotten, Nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever.

“ Because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His words against this place and its inhabitants, and because you humbled yourself before Me, tore your clothes, and wept before Me, I have indeed heard you,” declares the Lord.

For He who requires blood remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the needy.

Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made to God intensely by the church.On the very night when Herod was about to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and guards in front of the door were watching over the prison.And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near Peter, and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter’s side and woke him, saying,“ Get up quickly.” And his chains fell off his hands.And the angel said to him,“ Put on your belt and strap on your sandals.” And he did so. And he* said to him,“ Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.”And he went out and continued to follow, and yet he did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.Now when they had passed the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened for them by itself; and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.When Peter came to himself, he said,“ Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.”And when he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John, who was also called Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.When he knocked at the door of the gate, a slave woman named Rhoda came to answer.When she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her joy she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in front of the gate.They said to her,“ You are out of your mind!” But she kept insisting that it was so. They said,“ It is his angel.”But Peter continued knocking; and when they had opened the door, they saw him and were amazed.But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said,“ Report these things to James and the brothers.” Then he left and went to another place.Now when day came, there was no small disturbance among the soldiers as to what could have become of Peter.When Herod had searched for him and had not found him, he examined the guards and ordered that they be led away to execution. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and was spending time there.

in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.

He will not fear bad news; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.His heart is firm, he will not fear, But will look with satisfaction on his enemies.

What the wicked fears will come upon him, But the desire of the righteous will be granted.

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says,“ God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced over what God had prepared for the people, because the thing came about suddenly.

for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

And when they heard this, they raised their voices to God with one mind and said,“ Lord, it is You who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them,who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said,‘ Why were the nations insolent, And the peoples plotting in vain?The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together Against the Lord and against His Christ.’For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,to do whatever Your hand and purpose predestined to occur.And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant it to Your bond servants to speak Your word with all confidence,while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.”And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
