The law of the LORD is perfect and preserves one’s life. The rules set down by the LORD are reliable and impart wisdom to the inexperienced.The LORD’s precepts are fair and make one joyful. The LORD’s commands are pure and give insight for life.

The path of life is upward for the wise person, to keep him from going downward to Sheol.

One who has isolated himself seeks his own desires; he rejects all sound judgment.A fool takes no pleasure in understanding but only in disclosing what is on his mind.

The discerning person acquires knowledge, and the wise person seeks knowledge.

The unbeliever does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.The one who is spiritual discerns all things, yet he himself is understood by no one.
