For learning what wisdom and discipline are; for understanding insightful sayings;for receiving wise instruction in righteousness, justice, and integrity;

Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction, and don’t reject your mother’s teaching,

“ But My people did not listen to Me; Israel did not obey Me.So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own plans.

Make sure that you do not reject the One who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected Him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.

But all did not obey the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

“ Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the waters; and you without money, come, buy, and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost!Why do you spend money on what is not food, and your wages on what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and you will enjoy the choicest of foods.Pay attention and come to Me; listen, so that you will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the promises assured to David.

She cries out above the commotion; she speaks at the entrance of the city gates:

“ This Moses, whom they rejected when they said, Who appointed you a ruler and a judge?— this one God sent as a ruler and a redeemer by means of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.This man led them out and performed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, at the Red Sea, and in the wilderness 40 years.“ This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers.
