要知道，被她刺透而倒下的人有許多，連無數強者都被她殺死；

蓋彼所傷而仆者孔多、所殺者甚眾、

維彼淫婦、傷人孔多、殺人亦不少。

蓋被其傷仆者不少、被其殺害者甚眾、

Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng.

She has brought down a lot of men. She has killed a huge crowd.

for many a victim has she laid low, and all her slain are a mighty throng.

For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims.

For she has brought many down to death; her victims are countless.

For many are the victims she has brought to ruin, And numerous are all those slaughtered by her.

For she has cast down many wounded, And all who were slain by her were strong men.

For she hath cast down many wounded: Yea, all her slain are a mighty host.

for she has thrown down many wounded. Yes, all her slain are a mighty army.

Was it not because of things like these that King Solomon of Israel sinned? Among the many nations there was no king like him. He was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel. But the foreign wives made even him sin!

I am afraid that when I come again, my God may humiliate me before you, and I will grieve for many of those who previously sinned and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and licentiousness that they have practiced.

Why have you shown contempt for the word of the LORD by doing evil in my sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and you have taken his wife as your own! You have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.So now the sword will never depart from your house. For you have despised me by taking the wife of Uriah the Hittite as your own!’This is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to bring disaster on you from inside your own household! Right before your eyes I will take your wives and hand them over to your companion. He will have sexual relations with your wives in broad daylight!

And let us not be immoral, as some of them were, and twenty- three thousand died in a single day.

King Solomon fell in love with many foreign women( besides Pharaoh’s daughter), including Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites.They came from nations about which the LORD had warned the Israelites,“ You must not establish friendly relations with them! If you do, they will surely shift your allegiance to their gods.” But Solomon was irresistibly attracted to them.

Dear friends, I urge you as foreigners and exiles to keep away from fleshly desires that do battle against the soul,

As the war continued between the house of Saul and the house of David, Abner was becoming more influential in the house of Saul.Now Saul had a concubine named Rizpah daughter of Aiah. Ish-bosheth said to Abner,“ Why did you have sexual relations with my father’s concubine?”These words of Ish-bosheth really angered Abner and he said,“ Am I the head of a dog that belongs to Judah? This very day I am demonstrating loyalty to the house of Saul your father and to his relatives and his friends! I have not betrayed you into the hand of David. Yet you have accused me of sinning with this woman today!

When Abner returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside at the gate as if to speak privately with him. Joab then stabbed him in the abdomen and killed him, avenging the shed blood of his brother Asahel.

The Philistines captured him and gouged out his eyes. They brought him down to Gaza and bound him in bronze chains. He became a grinder in the prison.
