諸子宜聽、勿違我口所言、

爾小子、尚其聽之、毋棄我言。

孩子们，要听父亲的训诲，留心明白道理。

不可使它们偏离你的眼目，要存记在你心中。

“孩子们，现在要听从我，谨守我道的有福了。要听训诲，得智慧，不可弃绝。听从我，天天在我门口守望，在我门框旁等候的，那人有福了。因为寻得我的，就寻得生命，他必蒙耶和华的恩惠。得罪我的，害了自己的生命，凡恨恶我的，喜爱死亡。”

孩子们，现在要听从我，要留心听我口中的言语。

我儿啊，要谨守健全的知识和智谋，不可使它们偏离你的眼目。

你要侧耳听智慧人的言语，留心领会我的知识。你若心中存记，嘴唇也准备就绪，这是美的。我今日特地指教你，为要使你倚靠耶和华。谋略和知识的美事，我岂没有写给你吗？要使你明白真情实理，好将实情回覆那差你来的人。

你们总要谨慎，不可拒绝那向你们说话的，因为那些拒绝了在地上警戒他们的，尚且不能逃罪，何况我们违背那从天上警戒我们的呢？
