昔我在父前為佳兒、我母視我幼稚、獨為可愛、

我幼弱時、父愛我、母慈我、猶獨生之子、

For I too was a son to my father, still tender, and cherished by my mother.

I, too, was once a young boy in my father’s house. And my mother loved me deeply.

When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother,

For I, too, was once my father’s son, tenderly loved as my mother’s only child.

When I was a son with my father, tender and precious to my mother,

When I was a son to my father, Tender and the only son in the sight of my mother,

When I was my father’s son, Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,

For I was a son unto my father, Tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

When I was a son with my father, tender and precious to my mother,

大闢曰、我子所羅門、尚在弱齡、必為耶和華建殿、矞皇顯麗、萬國播揚、我必為之備。於是大闢存日、預備之物、不可悉數、

大闢王告會眾曰、我子所羅門、尚在弱齡、上帝特遴選之、工作甚鉅、蓋殿非為人也、乃為上帝耶和華。

耶和華與、我知人事不操諸己、人居斯世、不得整其步履。

我必施恩、賦我神於大闢家、耶路撒冷民使籲於上、昔爾剌我、後必仰我、為我椎心、若喪獨子、舉哀甚慘、若喪初生之子、

大闢慰藉其妻拔示巴、偕寢生子、命名所羅門。耶和華眷愛之。遣先知拿單、賜子名耶底太亞、見愛於耶和華故也。○

當往覲大闢王、告之曰、昔我主我王、與婢相誓、婢子所羅門必即位、繼爾為王、今亞多尼雅即位、曷故。爾陳言之際、我接踵而入、以證爾言之不謬。拔示巴入宮覲王、王年已邁、書念女亞庇煞侍側。拔示巴伏拜王前、王曰、汝欲何為。曰、昔我主指爾之上帝耶和華、與婢發誓、言婢之子所羅門必踐位、繼爾為王。

意宜同、志勿高、惟謙是從、勿智是恃、

在耶路撒冷大闢所生者、臚列於左、亞米利之女拔書亞生四子、示每、說巴、拿單、所羅門。
