I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching.

I give you good advice. So don’t turn away from what I teach you.

May my teaching drip as the rain, My speech trickle as the dew, As droplets on the fresh grass, And as the showers on the vegetation.

In pointing out these things to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the good doctrine which you have been following.

holding firmly the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict it.

Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things.For my mouth will proclaim truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing crooked or perverted in them.They are all straightforward to him who understands, And right to those who find knowledge.

“ If his sons abandon My Law And do not walk in My judgments,If they violate My statutes And do not keep My commandments,Then I will punish their wrongdoing with the rod, And their guilt with afflictions.

So Jesus answered them and said,“ My teaching is not My own, but His who sent Me.If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is of God, or I am speaking from Myself.

My words are from the integrity of my heart, And my lips speak knowledge sincerely.

“ But if you turn away and abandon My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,

Hear this, all peoples; Listen, all inhabitants of the world,Both low and high, Rich and poor together.My mouth will speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart will be understanding.

“ As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

For you have said,‘ My teaching is pure, And I am innocent in your eyes.’

Have I not written to you excellent things Of counsels and knowledge,To make you know the certainty of the words of truth, So that you may correctly answer him who sent you?
