My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you.

我儿，你不可轻看耶和华的管教，也不可厌烦他的责备；

我儿啊，不可轻看耶和华的管教，也不可厌烦他的责备，

孩子啊，不可轻视耶和华的管教，也不可厌烦祂的责备。

我儿，不可轻看耶和华的管教，也不可厌恶他的责备；

我儿啊，不可厌弃耶和华的管教，也不可厌恶他的责备！

我兒，你不可輕看耶和華的管教，也不可厭煩他的責備；

我兒啊，不可輕看耶和華的管教，也不可厭煩他的責備，

我兒啊，不可輕看耶和華的管教，也不可厭煩他的責備，

孩子啊，不可輕視耶和華的管教，也不可厭煩祂的責備。

我兒，不可輕看耶和華的管教，也不可厭惡他的責備；

弟子啊，永恆主的管教你不可藐視；他的責備你不可憎厭；

我兒啊，不可厭棄耶和華的管教，也不可厭惡他的責備！

我子、勿輕耶和華之懲罰、勿厭其譴責、

My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke,

My son, do not hate the Lord’ s training. Do not object when he corrects you.

My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof,

My child, do not despise discipline from the LORD, and do not loathe his rebuke.

My son, don’t despise Yahweh’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;

“ But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.

And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said,“ My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you.For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all.Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever?For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening— it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees.

I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

Joyful are those you discipline, Lord, those you teach with your instructions.

Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

Therefore, since God in his mercy has given us this new way, we never give up.

Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.

Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world.

If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.

But now when trouble strikes, you lose heart. You are terrified when it touches you.
