Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

天不昭示、民必妄作、克守律法、可獲綏安。

若無默示、民則妄為、謹守律法者、即為有福、

Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.

Where there is no message from God, people don’t control themselves. But blessed is the one who obeys wisdom’s instruction.

Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.

When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.

Without revelation people run wild, but one who follows divine instruction will be happy.

Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is one who keeps the Law.

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

Where[ there is] no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy[ is] he.

When there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but the one who keeps the law, blessed is he!

But he that looketh into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and so continueth, being not a hearer that forgetteth but a doer that worketh, this man shall be blessed in his doing.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children.

If ye know these things, blessed are ye if ye do them.

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

And the child Samuel ministered unto Jehovah before Eli. And the word of Jehovah was precious in those days; there was no frequent vision.

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, That seek him with the whole heart.

We see not our signs: There is no more any prophet; Neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers:But his delight is in the law of Jehovah; And on his law doth he meditate day and night.

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were distressed and scattered, as sheep not having a shepherd.

He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his soul; But he that is careless of his ways shall die.

And when Moses saw that the people were broken loose,( for Aaron had let them loose for a derision among their enemies,)

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord Jehovah, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of Jehovah.And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of Jehovah, and shall not find it.

for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?and how shall they preach, except they be sent? even as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that bring glad tidings of good things!

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him.Judas( not Iscariot) saith unto him, Lord, what is come to pass that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

Moreover by them is thy servant warned: In keeping them there is great reward.

For Jehovah brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he had dealt wantonly in Judah, and trespassed sore against Jehovah.
