勿謂人若何待我、我亦若何待人、必如其所行而報之、

勿以惡報惡、

勿言人待我如何、我亦待人如何、我必循其所行而報之、

Do not say,“ I’ll do to them as they have done to me; I’ll pay them back for what they did.”

Don’t say,“ I’ll do to them what they have done to me. I’ll get even with them for what they did.”

Do not say,“ I will do to him as he has done to me; I will pay the man back for what he has done.”

And don’t say,“ Now I can pay them back for what they’ve done to me! I’ll get even with them!”

Don’t say,“ I’ll do to him what he did to me; I’ll repay the man for what he has done.”

Do not say,“ I shall do the same to him as he has done to me; I will repay the person according to his work.”

Do not say,“ I will do to him just as he has done to me; I will render to the man according to his work.”

Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me; I will render to the man according to his work.

Don’t say,“ I’ll do to him what he did to me; I’ll repay the man for what he has done.”

Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.

Do not say,“ I will do to him just as he has done to me; I will pay him back according to what he has done.”

Don’t say,“ I will do to him as he has done to me; I will repay the man according to his work.”

不要說：「我要以惡報惡」，要等候耶和華替你伸冤。

你們要小心，誰都不可冤冤相報，總要彼此善待，也要善待眾人。

不要以惡報惡。要尊重別人，眾人都認為好的事，應該竭力去做。如果可能，總要盡力與人和睦相處。親愛的弟兄姊妹，不要私自報復，要讓上帝來審判，因為聖經上說：「主說，『伸冤在我，我必報應。』」所以，「你的仇敵若餓了，就給他吃的；若渴了，就給他喝的；你這樣做是把炭火堆在他頭上。」你不可被惡所勝，反要以善勝惡。

押沙龍沒有對暗嫩說一句話，只是心裡暗暗地恨他，因為他玷污了妹妹她瑪。兩年後，押沙龍的工人在以法蓮附近的巴力·夏瑣剪羊毛，押沙龍邀請王的眾子去那裡。他去見王，說：「我的工人正在剪羊毛，請王和眾臣僕跟我一起去吧。」王說：「我兒，我們不必都去打擾你。」押沙龍再三邀請，王還是推辭了，但他為押沙龍祝福。押沙龍說：「倘若王不去，求你叫我兄弟暗嫩去吧。」大衛說：「何必要他同去呢？」但押沙龍再三懇求，王就讓暗嫩和其他王子一同去了。押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們要留意，當暗嫩喝得正高興的時候，我叫你們殺他，你們就要動手。不要畏縮，要剛強勇敢！因為這是我的命令。」

你的仇敵若餓了，就給他吃的；若渴了，就給他水喝；因為你這是把炭火堆在他頭上，耶和華必獎賞你。

於是，有三千猶大人去以坦的岩洞找參孫，對他說：「難道你不知道非利士人是我們的統治者嗎？你為什麼連累我們？」參孫回答說：「我只是以牙還牙。」

但我告訴你們，不要跟惡人作對。有人打你的右臉，連左臉也轉過來讓他打。有人想控告你，要奪取你的內衣，連外衣也給他。有人強迫你走一里路，你就跟他走二里路。有求你的，就給他；有向你借的，不可拒絕他。「你們聽過這樣的話，『要愛鄰居，恨仇敵。』但我告訴你們，要愛仇敵，為迫害你們的人禱告。
