傾耳以聽良言、專心以學智慧。

爾當側耳以聽智者之言、以心領會我之達道、

Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach,

Pay attention and listen to the sayings of wise people. Apply your heart to the sayings I teach.

Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge,

Listen to the words of the wise; apply your heart to my instruction.

Listen closely, pay attention to the words of the wise, and apply your mind to my knowledge.

Extend your ear and hear the words of the wise, And apply your mind to my knowledge;

Incline thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, And apply thy heart unto my knowledge.

Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.

So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;

To receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity;

So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding,If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures;Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.

My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding,That you may preserve discretion, And your lips may keep knowledge.

I applied my heart to know, To search and seek out wisdom and the reason of things, To know the wickedness of folly, Even of foolishness and madness.

Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it.Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.

All this I have seen, and applied my heart to every work that is done under the sun: There is a time in which one man rules over another to his own hurt.

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying,“ This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”

When I applied my heart to know wisdom and to see the business that is done on earth, even though one sees no sleep day or night,

Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.

He also taught me, and said to me:“ Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live.Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
