Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach,

你要留心领受训诲，侧耳听从知识的言语。

求你指教我们怎样数算自己的日子，好叫我们得着智慧的心。

我儿，不要忘记我的法则；你心要谨守我的诫命；

使人处事领受智慧、仁义、公平、正直的训诲，

侧耳听智慧，专心求聪明，呼求明哲，扬声求聪明，寻找它，如寻找银子，搜求它，如搜求隐藏的珍宝，你就明白敬畏耶和华，得以认识神。

我儿，要留心我智慧的话语，侧耳听我聪明的言词，为要使你谨守谋略，嘴唇保存知识。

我转念，一心要知道，要考察，要寻求智慧和万事的理由；又要知道邪恶为愚昧，愚昧为狂妄。

要听教训就得智慧，不可弃绝。听从我、日日在我门口仰望、在我门框旁边等候的，那人便为有福。

这一切我都见过，也专心查考日光之下所做的一切事。有时这人管辖那人，令人受害。

说话之间，忽然有一朵光明的云彩遮盖他们，且有声音从云彩里出来，说：“这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的。你们要听他！”

我专心求智慧，要看世上所做的事。（有昼夜不睡觉不合眼的。）

你们当就近我来；侧耳而听，就必得活。我必与你们立永约，就是应许大卫那可靠的恩典。

父亲教训我说：“你心要存记我的言语，遵守我的命令，便得存活。要得智慧，要得聪明，不可忘记，也不可偏离我口中的言语。不可离弃智慧，智慧就护卫你；要爱她，她就保守你。智慧为首；所以，要得智慧。在你一切所得之内必得聪明。高举智慧，她就使你高升；怀抱智慧，她就使你尊荣。
