惰者云、外有獅、行於途、必見殺、

怠者諉詞、言出門必遇獅、行於衢必見殺。

怠者嘗曰、衢有獅、我必在途間被殺、

The sluggard says,“ There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!”

People who don’t want to work say,“ There’s a lion outside!” Or they say,“ I’ll be murdered if I go out into the streets!”

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion outside! I shall be killed in the streets!”

The lazy person claims,“ There’s a lion out there! If I go outside, I might be killed!”

The slacker says,“ There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!”

The lazy one says,“ There is a lion outside; I will be killed in the streets!”

The lazy man says,“ There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets!”

The sluggard saith, There is a lion without; I shall be slain in the streets.

The slacker says,“ There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!”

The slothful[ man] saith,[ There is] a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion outside! I will be killed in the middle of the streets!”

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion outside! I will be killed in the streets!”

The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway. (niv)

A sluggard says,“ There’s a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!”As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed.A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth.A sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven people who answer discreetly. And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said,“ The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.We saw the Nephilim there( the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (niv)
