The lazy person claims,“ There’s a lion out there! If I go outside, I might be killed!”

懒惰人说：外头有狮子；我在街上就必被杀。

懒惰人说：“外面有狮子，我会丧命街头。”

懒惰人说：“外面有狮子，我在街上必被杀害。”

懒惰人说：“外面有狮子，我会在街市中丧命。”

懶惰人說：外頭有獅子；我在街上就必被殺。

懶惰人說：「外面有獅子，我在街上必被殺害。」

懶惰人說：「外面有獅子，我在街上必被殺害。」

懶惰人說：「外面有獅子，我會喪命街頭。」

懶惰人說：“外面有獅子，我在街上必被殺害。”

懶惰人說：『唉呀！外頭有獅子哦！我在廣場上會被暗殺哦！』

懶惰人說：「外面有獅子，我會在街市中喪命。」

惰者云、外有獅、行於途、必見殺、

怠者諉詞、言出門必遇獅、行於衢必見殺。

怠者嘗曰、衢有獅、我必在途間被殺、

The sluggard says,“ There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!”

People who don’t want to work say,“ There’s a lion outside!” Or they say,“ I’ll be murdered if I go out into the streets!”

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion outside! I shall be killed in the streets!”

The slacker says,“ There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!”

The lazy one says,“ There is a lion outside; I will be killed in the streets!”

The lazy man says,“ There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets!”

The sluggard saith, There is a lion without; I shall be slain in the streets.

The slacker says,“ There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!”

The slothful[ man] saith,[ There is] a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion outside! I will be killed in the middle of the streets!”

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion outside! I will be killed in the streets!”

A lazy person’s way is blocked with briers, but the path of the upright is an open highway.

The lazy person claims,“ There’s a lion on the road! Yes, I’m sure there’s a lion out there!”As a door swings back and forth on its hinges, so the lazy person turns over in bed.Lazy people take food in their hand but don’t even lift it to their mouth.Lazy people consider themselves smarter than seven wise counselors.

So they spread this bad report about the land among the Israelites:“ The land we traveled through and explored will devour anyone who goes to live there. All the people we saw were huge.We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that’s what they thought, too!”
