惡者幸人之災、鄰里罔沾其惠、

惡人心樂人禍、即良朋亦不矜恤、

The wicked crave evil; their neighbors get no mercy from them.

Sinful people long to do evil. They don’t show their neighbors any mercy.

Evil people desire evil; their neighbors get no mercy from them.

A wicked person desires evil; he has no consideration for his neighbor.

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.

He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil.

Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.

For the foolish person will speak foolishness, And his heart will work iniquity: To practice ungodliness, To utter error against the Lord, To keep the hungry unsatisfied, And he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.Also the schemes of the schemer are evil; He devises wicked plans To destroy the poor with lying words, Even when the needy speaks justice.But a generous man devises generous things, And by generosity he shall stand.

Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.

Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a feast day. Please give whatever comes to your hand to your servants and to your son David.’”So when David’s young men came, they spoke to Nabal according to all these words in the name of David, and waited.Then Nabal answered David’s servants, and said,“ Who is David, and who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants nowadays who break away each one from his master.Shall I then take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers, and give it to men when I do not know where they are from?”

For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

For all that is in the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life— is not of the Father but is of the world.

Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor Will also cry himself and not be heard.

Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain,“ The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?

The wicked covet the catch of evil men, But the root of the righteous yields fruit.

A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.

He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.

Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.You love evil more than good, Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah
