In addition to being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge; and he pondered, searched out, and arranged many proverbs.The Preacher sought to find delightful words and to write words of truth correctly.The words of the wise are like goads, and masters of these collections are like driven nails; they are given by one Shepherd.

The wise in heart will be called understanding, And sweetness of speech increases persuasiveness.

Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver.
