and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,

Look for it as you would look for silver. Search for it as you would search for hidden treasure.

The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in the field; which a man found, and hid; and in his joy he goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Who long for death, but it cometh not, And dig for it more than for hid treasures;

Therefore I love thy commandments Above gold, yea, above fine gold.

Riches and honor are with me; Yea, durable wealth and righteousness.My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; And my revenue than choice silver.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! Yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.

The law of thy mouth is better unto me Than thousands of gold and silver.

And every one that hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life.

Jesus said unto him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell that which thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sorrowful; for he was one that had great possessions.

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, As much as in all riches.

There is one that is alone, and he hath not a second; yea, he hath neither son nor brother; yet is there no end of all his labor, neither are his eyes satisfied with riches. For whom then, saith he, do I labor, and deprive my soul of good? This also is vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.

Buy the truth, and sell it not; Yea, wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.

But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?Man knoweth not the price thereof; Neither is it found in the land of the living.The deep saith, It is not in me; And the sea saith, It is not with me.It cannot be gotten for gold, Neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, With the precious onyx, or the sapphire.Gold and glass cannot equal it, Neither shall it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal: Yea, the price of wisdom is above rubies.The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, Neither shall it be valued with pure gold.Whence then cometh wisdom? And where is the place of understanding?

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal:but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also.

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb.

For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver, And the profit thereof than fine gold.She is more precious than rubies: And none of the things thou canst desire are to be compared unto her.
