Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,

Wisdom will save you from the ways of evil men. It will save you from men who twist their words.

delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech,

Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted.

It will rescue you from the way of evil— from anyone who says perverse things,

To rescue you from the way of evil, From a person who speaks perverse things;

To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things,

To deliver thee from the way of evil, From the men that speak perverse things;

rescuing you from the way of evil— from the one who says perverse things,

To deliver thee from the way of the evil[ man], from the man that speaketh froward things;

to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,

Do not be deceived:“ Bad company corrupts good morals.”

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride and the evil way and perverse utterances.

Therefore“ come out from their midst, and be separate,” says the Lord,“ and touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you,

The one who associates with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.

I do not associate with deceitful men, or consort with those who are dishonest.I hate the mob of evil men, and do not associate with the wicked.

As for the actions of people– just as you have commanded, I have not followed in the footsteps of violent men.I carefully obey your commands; I do not deviate from them.

A perverse person spreads dissension, and a gossip separates the closest friends.A violent person entices his neighbor, and leads him down a path that is terrible.The one who winks his eyes devises perverse things, and one who compresses his lips brings about evil.

Do not enter the path of the wicked or walk in the way of those who are evil.Avoid it, do not go on it; turn away from it, and go on.For they cannot sleep unless they cause harm; they are robbed of sleep until they make someone stumble.For they eat bread gained from wickedness and drink wine obtained from violence.

for one who goes astray is an abomination to the LORD, but he reveals his intimate counsel to the upright.

Even from among your own group men will arise, teaching perversions of the truth to draw the disciples away after them.

For your hands are stained with blood and your fingers with sin; your lips speak lies, your tongue utters malicious words.No one is concerned about justice; no one sets forth his case truthfully. They depend on false words and tell lies; they conceive of oppression and give birth to sin.They hatch the eggs of a poisonous snake and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, a poisonous snake is hatched.

Abandon your foolish ways so that you may live, and proceed in the way of understanding.”

I will have nothing to do with a perverse person; I will not permit evil.

Do not let me have evil desires, or participate in sinful activities with men who behave wickedly. I will not eat their delicacies.

My child, if sinners try to entice you, do not consent!If they say,“ Come with us! We will lie in wait to shed blood; we will ambush an innocent person capriciously.We will swallow them alive like Sheol, those full of vigor like those going down to the Pit.We will seize all kinds of precious wealth; we will fill our houses with plunder.Join with us! We will all share equally in what we steal.”My child, do not go down their way, withhold yourself from their path;for they are eager to inflict harm, and they hasten to shed blood.Surely it is futile to spread a net in plain sight of any bird,but these men lie in wait for their own blood, they ambush their own lives!Such are the ways of all who gain profit unjustly; it takes away the life of those who obtain it!
