The one who acquits the guilty and the one who condemns the innocent– both of them are an abomination to the LORD.

Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent— the Lord detests them both.

The Lord hates two things. He hates it when the guilty are set free. He also hates it when those who aren’t guilty are punished.

He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.

Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent— both are detestable to the Lord.

Acquitting the guilty and condemning the just— both are detestable to the LORD.

One who justifies the wicked and one who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.

He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.

He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.

Acquitting the guilty and condemning the just— both are detestable to the Lord.

He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both[ are] abomination to the LORD.

He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to Yahweh.

Keep your distance from a false charge– do not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I will not justify the wicked.

They pronounce the guilty innocent for a payoff, they ignore the just cause of the innocent.

It is terrible to show partiality to the wicked, by depriving a righteous man of justice.

These sayings also are from the wise: To show partiality in judgment is terrible:The one who says to the guilty,“ You are innocent,” peoples will curse him, and nations will denounce him.

You have condemned and murdered the righteous person, although he does not resist you.

The two villains arrived and sat opposite him. Then the villains testified against Naboth right before the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they dragged him outside the city and stoned him to death.

Certainly I am aware of your many rebellious acts and your numerous sins. You torment the innocent, you take bribes, and you deny justice to the needy at the city gate.

There are six things that the LORD hates, even seven things that are an abomination to him:

The Israelites turn justice into bitterness; they throw what is fair and right to the ground.

“ Indeed, my plans are not like your plans, and my deeds are not like your deeds,for just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans superior to your plans.

But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness.

Can horses run on rocky cliffs? Can one plow the sea with oxen? Yet you have turned justice into a poisonous plant, and the fruit of righteous actions into a bitter plant.

The LORD abhors the sacrifices of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.

But they all shouted out together,“ Take this man away! Release Barabbas for us!”( This was a man who had been thrown into prison for an insurrection started in the city, and for murder.)Pilate addressed them once again because he wanted to release Jesus.But they kept on shouting,“ Crucify, crucify him!”A third time he said to them,“ Why? What wrong has he done? I have found him guilty of no crime deserving death. I will therefore flog him and release him.”But they were insistent, demanding with loud shouts that he be crucified. And their shouts prevailed.So Pilate decided that their demand should be granted.He released the man they asked for, who had been thrown in prison for insurrection and murder. But he handed Jesus over to their will.

Her officials are like wolves in her midst rending their prey– shedding blood and destroying lives– so they can get dishonest profit.Her prophets coat their messages with whitewash. They see false visions and announce lying omens for them, saying,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says,’ when the LORD has not spoken.The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have wronged the poor and needy; they have oppressed the foreigner who lives among them and denied them justice.

The Lord abhors dishonest scales, but an accurate weight is his delight.
