A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.

A twisted person stirs up conflict. Anyone who talks about others separates close friends.

A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.

A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends.

A contrary person spreads conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.

A perverse person spreads strife, And a slanderer separates close friends.

If any man teacheth a different doctrine, and consenteth not to sound words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but doting about questionings and disputes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,wranglings of men corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, supposing that godliness is a way of gain.

Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.And Jehovah God said unto the woman, What is this thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearkenest thou to men’s words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?

For I fear, lest by any means, when I come, I should find you not such as I would, and should myself be found of you such as ye would not; lest by any means there should be strife, jealousy, wraths, factions, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults;

An angry man stirreth up strife, And a wrathful man aboundeth in transgression.

For lack of wood the fire goeth out; And where there is no whisperer, contention ceaseth.As coals are to hot embers, and wood to fire, So is a contentious man to inflame strife.The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts.
