貪圖不義之財的、把自己的家搞壞；恨惡賄賂禮的、必得以活着。

貪貨財者擾己家、惡賄賂者得生存、

貪貨利者無家室之安、惡苞苴者得生命之樂。

貪利者擾害己家、惡賄者必得生存、

The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live.

Those who always want more bring ruin to their households. But a person who refuses to be paid to lie will live.

Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household, but he who hates bribes will live.

Greed brings grief to the whole family, but those who hate bribes will live.

The one who profits dishonestly troubles his household, but the one who hates bribes will live.

He who profits illicitly troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.

He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.

He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; But he that hateth bribes shall live.

So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain. It takes away the life of its owners.

“ You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous.

He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind. The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.

As the partridge that sits on eggs which she has not laid, so is he who gets riches, and not by right. In the middle of his days, they will leave him. At his end, he will be a fool.

You shall not pervert justice. You shall not show partiality. You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.

Therefore the leprosy of Naaman will cling to you and to your offspring forever.” He went out from his presence a leper, as white as snow.

Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men which fear God: men of truth, hating unjust gain; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

Woe to those who join house to house, who lay field to field, until there is no room, and you are made to dwell alone in the middle of the land!In my ears, Yahweh of Armies says:“ Surely many houses will be desolate, even great and beautiful, unoccupied.For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield an ephah.”

Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken some of the devoted things, and have also stolen, and also deceived. They have even put it among their own stuff.Therefore the children of Israel can’t stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will not be with you any more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.

Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!You have devised shame to your house, by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it.

He who walks righteously and speaks blamelessly, he who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing to take a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil—he will dwell on high. His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks. His bread will be supplied. His waters will be sure.

An inheritance quickly gained at the beginning, won’t be blessed in the end.

You shall not bring an abomination into your house and become a devoted thing like it. You shall utterly detest it. You shall utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.

He who is truly righteous gets life. He who pursues evil gets death.

His sons didn’t walk in his ways, but turned away after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice.Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together and came to Samuel to Ramah.They said to him,“ Behold, you are old, and your sons don’t walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.”

Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his cattle, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them up to the valley of Achor.Joshua said,“ Why have you troubled us? Yahweh will trouble you today.” All Israel stoned him with stones, and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

Then he said to me,“ This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land; for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down.

A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment. One who hates ill- gotten gain will have long days.
