The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied.

A sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.

People who refuse to work want things and get nothing. But the desires of people who work hard are completely satisfied.

The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.

Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper.

The slacker craves, yet has nothing, but the diligent is fully satisfied.

The soul of the lazy one craves and gets nothing, But the soul of the diligent is made prosperous.

The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge;and in knowledge, self- control; and in self- control perseverance; and in perseverance godliness;and in godliness brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.For he who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures:then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and find the knowledge of God.For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.

The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.

One who is greedy stirs up strife; but one who trusts in Yahweh will prosper.

We desire that each one of you may show the same diligence to the fullness of hope even to the end,

Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.”

Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts.

and Yahweh will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion in the road! A fierce lion roams the streets!”

They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,

Who can count the dust of Jacob, or count the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous! Let my last end be like his!”
