Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.

They will be like a tree planted near a stream whose roots spread out toward the water. It has nothing to fear when the heat comes. Its leaves are always green. It has no need to be concerned in a year of drought. It does not stop bearing fruit.

“ Look, here is the man who would not make God his protector! He trusted in his great wealth and was confident about his plans to destroy others.”But I am like a flourishing olive tree in the house of God; I continually trust in God’s loyal love.

He is like a tree planted by flowing streams; it yields its fruit at the proper time, and its leaves never fall off. He succeeds in everything he attempts.

Command those who are rich in this world’s goods not to be haughty or to set their hope on riches, which are uncertain, but on God who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment.

The godly grow like a palm tree; they grow high like a cedar in Lebanon.Planted in the LORD’s house, they grow in the courts of our God.They bear fruit even when they are old; they are filled with vitality and have many leaves.

Do not trust in what you can gain by oppression! Do not put false confidence in what you can gain by robbery! If wealth increases, do not become attached to it!

“ If I have put my confidence in gold or said to pure gold,‘ You are my security!’if I have rejoiced because of the extent of my wealth, or because of the great wealth my hand had gained,

They trust in their wealth and boast in their great riches.

The wealth of a rich person is like a fortified city, but the poor are brought to ruin by their poverty.

All of your people will be godly; they will possess the land permanently. I will plant them like a shoot; they will be the product of my labor, through whom I reveal my splendor.

The disciples were astonished at these words. But again Jesus said to them,“ Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

When you eat your fill, when you build and occupy good houses,when your cattle and flocks increase, when you have plenty of silver and gold, and when you have abundance of everything,be sure you do not feel self-important and forget the LORD your God who brought you from the land of Egypt, the place of slavery,

But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
