Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.

When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent.

Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.

When there are many words, sin is unavoidable, but the one who controls his lips is prudent.

When there are many words, wrongdoing is unavoidable, But one who restrains his lips is wise.

In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.

All of us get tripped up in many ways. Suppose someone is never wrong in what they say. Then they are perfect. They are able to keep their whole body under control.

My dear brothers and sisters, pay attention to what I say. Everyone should be quick to listen. But they should be slow to speak. They should be slow to get angry.

I said,“ I will be careful about how I live. I will not sin by what I say. I will keep my mouth closed when I am near sinful people.”

Anyone who has knowledge controls their words. Anyone who has understanding is not easily upset.We think even foolish people are wise if they keep silent. We think they understand what is right if they control their tongues.

At first what they say is foolish. In the end their words are very evil.They talk too much. No one knows what lies ahead. Who can tell someone else what will happen after they are gone?

Many worries result in dreams. Many words result in foolish talk.
