Anyone who pays attention to correction shows the path to life. But anyone who refuses to be corrected leads others down the wrong path.

谨守训诲的，乃在生命的道上；违弃责备的，便失迷了路。

遵守训诲的，行在生命道上；离弃责备的，走迷了路。

遵守训诲的，行在生命道上；离弃责备的，走迷了路。

听从教诲的，走生命之路；拒绝责备的，必步入歧途。

遵守教训的，走在生命的路上；离弃责备的，却是走上错路。

接受管教的，在生命路上；离弃责备的，必导致迷失。

謹守訓誨的，乃在生命的道上；違棄責備的，便失迷了路。

Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray.

People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.

The one who follows instruction is on the path to life, but the one who rejects correction goes astray.

One who is on the path of life follows instruction, But one who ignores a rebuke goes astray.

He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.

He is in the way of life that heedeth correction; But he that forsaketh reproof erreth.

Hard training is in store for anyone who leaves the right path. A person who hates to be corrected will die.

So you should try very hard to add goodness to your faith. To goodness, add knowledge.To knowledge, add the ability to control yourselves. To the ability to control yourselves, add the strength to keep going. To the strength to keep going, add godliness.To godliness, add kindness for one another. And to kindness for one another, add love.All these things should describe you more and more. They will make you useful and fruitful as you know our Lord Jesus Christ better.But what if these things don’t describe someone at all? Then that person can’t see very well. In fact, they are blind. They have forgotten that their past sins have been washed away.My brothers and sisters, try very hard to show that God has appointed you to be saved. Try hard to show that he has chosen you. If you do everything I have just said, you will never trip and fall.You will receive a rich welcome into the kingdom that lasts forever. It is the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her. Those who hold her close will be blessed.

Your father’s command is like a lamp. Your mother’s teaching is like a light. And whatever instructs and corrects you leads to life.

You will say,“ How I hated to take advice! How my heart refused to be corrected!

He replied,“ Instead, blessed are those who hear God’s word and obey it.”

Whoever still won’t obey after being warned many times will suddenly be destroyed. Nothing can save them.

You turn away from all my advice. And you do not accept my warning.So I will laugh at you when you are in danger. I will make fun of you when hard times come.

“ So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock.The rain comes down. The water rises. The winds blow and beat against that house. But it does not fall. It is built on the rock.But everyone who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man. He builds his house on sand.The rain comes down. The water rises. The winds blow and beat against that house. And it falls with a loud crash.”

My son, do not forget my teaching. Keep my commands in your heart.They will help you live for many years. They will bring you peace and success.

Don’t let your mouth cause you to sin. Don’t say to the temple messenger,“ My promise was a mistake.” Why should God be angry with what you say? Why should he destroy what you have done?

Hold on to my teaching and don’t let it go. Guard it well, because it is your life.

Then my father taught me. He said to me,“ Take hold of my words with all your heart. Keep my commands, and you will live.

Be sure that you don’t say no to the one who speaks. People did not escape when they said no to the one who warned them on earth. And what if we turn away from the one who warns us from heaven? How much less will we escape!

While the prophet was still speaking, the king spoke to him. He said,“ Did I ask you for advice? Stop! If you don’t, you will be struck down.” So the prophet stopped. But then he said,“ I know that God has decided to destroy you. That’s because you have worshiped other gods. You haven’t listened to my advice.”

Anyone who loves correction loves knowledge. Anyone who hates to be corrected is stupid.

You wouldn’t accept my advice. You turned your backs on my warnings.

So we must pay the most careful attention to what we have heard. Then we will not drift away from it.

Pay attention and listen to the sayings of wise people. Apply your heart to the sayings I teach.It is pleasing when you keep them in your heart. Have all of them ready on your lips.You are the one I am teaching today. That’s because I want you to trust in the Lord.
