谨守训诲的，乃在生命的道上；违弃责备的，便失迷了路。

遵守训诲的，行在生命道上；离弃责备的，走迷了路。

听从教诲的，走生命之路；拒绝责备的，必步入歧途。

遵守教训的，走在生命的路上；离弃责备的，却是走上错路。

接受管教的，在生命路上；离弃责备的，必导致迷失。

Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

Anyone who pays attention to correction shows the path to life. But anyone who refuses to be corrected leads others down the wrong path.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge;to knowledge, self- control; to self- control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness;to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love.For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.But concerning the one who lacks such things– he is blind. That is to say, he is nearsighted, since he has forgotten about the cleansing of his past sins.Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to be sure of your calling and election. For by doing this you will never stumble into sin.For thus an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be richly provided for you.

She is like a tree of life to those who obtain her, and everyone who grasps hold of her will be blessed.

For the commandments are like a lamp, instruction is like a light, and rebukes of discipline are like the road leading to life,

And you will say,“ How I hated discipline! My heart spurned reproof!

But he replied,“ Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”

The one who stiffens his neck after numerous rebukes will suddenly be destroyed without remedy.

because you neglected all my advice, and did not comply with my rebuke,so I myself will laugh when disaster strikes you, I will mock when what you dread comes,

“ Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on rock.The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, but it did not collapse because it had been founded on rock.Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, and it collapsed; it was utterly destroyed!”

My child, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,for they will provide a long and full life, and they will add well-being to you.

Do not let your mouth cause you to sin, and do not tell the priest,“ It was a mistake!” Why make God angry at you so that he would destroy the work of your hands?”

Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; protect it, because it is your life.

he taught me, and he said to me:“ Let your heart lay hold of my words; keep my commands so that you will live.

Take care not to refuse the one who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the one who warns from heaven?

While he was speaking, Amaziah said to him,“ Did we appoint you to be a royal counselor? Stop prophesying or else you will be killed!” So the prophet stopped, but added,“ I know that the LORD has decided to destroy you, because you have done this thing and refused to listen to my advice.”

The one who loves discipline loves knowledge, but the one who hates reproof is stupid.

they did not comply with my advice, they spurned all my rebuke.

Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

Incline your ear and listen to the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my instruction.For it is pleasing if you keep these sayings within you, and they are ready on your lips.So that your confidence may be in the LORD, I am making them known to you today– even you.
