There is gold, and there are plenty of rubies. But lips that speak knowledge are a priceless jewel.

The tongue is the most evil part of the body. It makes the whole body impure. It sets a person’s whole way of life on fire. And the tongue itself is set on fire by hell.People have tamed all kinds of wild animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures. And they still tame them.But no one can tame the tongue. It is an evil thing that never rests. It is full of deadly poison.

Honest people see it and are filled with joy. But no one who is evil has anything to say.

The lips of wise people spread knowledge. But the hearts of foolish people are not honest.

Those who do right know the proper thing to say. But those who do wrong speak only twisted words.
