彼若曰、與我偕行、潛伏以流人血、無端隱伺無辜、

如彼曰、爾我偕行、我匿於歧途、見無辜者殺之。

如彼曰、爾我同行、我欲設伏殺人流血、無故立謀、以害無辜者、

If they say,“ Come along with us; let’s lie in wait for innocent blood, let’s ambush some harmless soul;

They might say,“ Come along with us. Let’s hide and wait to kill someone who hasn’t done anything wrong. Let’s catch some harmless person in our trap.

If they say,“ Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood; let us ambush the innocent without reason;

They may say,“ Come and join us. Let’s hide and kill someone! Just for fun, let’s ambush the innocent!

If they say—“ Come with us! Let’s set an ambush and kill someone. Let’s attack some innocent person just for fun!

If they say,“ Come with us, Let’s lie in wait for blood, Let’s ambush the innocent without cause;

If they say,“ Come with us, Let us lie in wait to shed blood; Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause;

If they say, Come with us, Let us lay wait for blood; Let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause;

If they say—“ Come with us! Let’s set an ambush and kill someone. Let’s attack some innocent person just for fun!

If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:

If they say,“ Come with us! We will lie in wait to shed blood; we will ambush an innocent person capriciously.

If they say,“ Come with us. Let’s lay in wait for blood. Let’s lurk secretly for the innocent without cause.

“ Among my people are the wicked who lie in wait like men who snare birds and like those who set traps to catch people. (niv)

These men lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush only themselves! (niv)

They requested Festus, as a favor to them, to have Paul transferred to Jerusalem, for they were preparing an ambush to kill him along the way. (niv)

He lies in wait near the villages; from ambush he murders the innocent. His eyes watch in secret for his victims;like a lion in cover he lies in wait. He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength. (niv)

But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law:‘ They hated me without reason.’ (niv)
