Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

“ Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed.This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his troubles.The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.

Pray constantly.Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

He then told them a parable on the need for them to pray always and not become discouraged:
