For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.

使爾能辨何者為有益、或作使爾能辨是非而為純潔無疵、直至基督之日、

俾識至善之所在、廓然無疑、馴至誠實無妄、心跡雙清、以俟基督來臨之日；

so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

May he, as a result, make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy as you stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all his holy people. Amen.

Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

You know what he wants; you know what is right because you have been taught his law.

Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.

but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.

He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns.

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

We can say with confidence and a clear conscience that we have lived with a God given holiness and sincerity in all our dealings. We have depended on God’s grace, not on our own human wisdom. That is how we have conducted ourselves before the world, and especially toward you.

For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.

You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right.Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

“ So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone.

Jesus turned to Peter and said,“ Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”

Because of this, I always try to maintain a clear conscience before God and all people.

These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ.But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

So if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live— for I don’t want to cause another believer to stumble.

But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good.

Didn’t Abraham tell me,‘ She is my sister’? And she herself said,‘ Yes, he is my brother.’ I acted in complete innocence! My hands are clean.”

I love God’s law with all my heart.

but you are the very ones who hate good and love evil. You skin my people alive and tear the flesh from their bones.

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.

He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.

We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry.

As they approached, Jesus said,“ Now here is a genuine son of Israel— a man of complete integrity.”

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.

But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.“ What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting.

I am not commanding you to do this. But I am testing how genuine your love is by comparing it with the eagerness of the other churches.

Don’t give offense to Jews or Gentiles or the church of God.

Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed.Hate evil and love what is good; turn your courts into true halls of justice. Perhaps even yet the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will have mercy on the remnant of his people.

Don’t tear apart the work of God over what you eat. Remember, all foods are acceptable, but it is wrong to eat something if it makes another person stumble.It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything else if it might cause another believer to stumble.

“ I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars.

By the time this child is old enough to choose what is right and reject what is wrong, he will be eating yogurt and honey.For before the child is that old, the lands of the two kings you fear so much will both be deserted.

You see, we are not like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Christ’s authority, knowing that God is watching us.

May God’s grace be eternally upon all who love our Lord Jesus Christ.

All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.

They preach because they love me, for they know I have been appointed to defend the Good News.

Job said,‘ The ear tests the words it hears just as the mouth distinguishes between foods.’

Dear brothers and sisters, if I were still preaching that you must be circumcised— as some say I do— why am I still being persecuted? If I were no longer preaching salvation through the cross of Christ, no one would be offended.

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.
