If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,

Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek.He was well spoken of by the brothers at Lystra and Iconium.Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him, and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.

You should know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I shall see you if he comes soon.

When Timothy comes, see that you put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am.

It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake.

But though we had already suffered and been shamefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in the midst of much conflict.

“ For it is written in the Book of Psalms,“‘ May his camp become desolate, and let there be no one to dwell in it’; and“‘ Let another take his office.’

“ And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write:‘ The words of the first and the last, who died and came to life.

but he said to me,“ You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,“ You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
