The Lord said to Moses,“ Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze;blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather; acacia wood;olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.“ Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.“ Have them make an ark of acacia wood— two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it. I say to the Lord,“ You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”I say of the holy people who are in the land,“ They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.” (niv)

This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone. (niv)

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built upuntil we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. “ Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the islands will put their hope.”This is what God the Lord says— the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:“ I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”This is what the Lord says— the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel— to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers:“ Kings will see you and stand up, princes will see and bow down, because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”This is what the Lord says:“ In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, (niv)
