這樣，你們就不至於使你們所在之地成了俗污，因為血能使地成了俗污；若有在地上流人血的，非流那殺人者的血，那地之被血染就不能得潔除。

这样，你们就不污秽所住之地，因为血是污秽地的；若有在地上流人血的，非流那杀人者的血，那地就不得洁净。

如是、則不污爾所居之地、蓋流人血、乃污其地、非流殺人者之血、則無以潔之、

如殺人命、則污衊斯土、殺人者未償命、則污仍不去、

毋污爾所居之地、殺人流血、即為污其地、若殺人流血於地、不殺殺人者流其血、則地不得潔、

“‘ Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land, and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

“‘ Do not pollute the land where you are. Murder pollutes the land. Only one thing can pay to remove the pollution in the land where murder has been committed. The blood of the one who spilled another’s blood must be spilled.

You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

This will ensure that the land where you live will not be polluted, for murder pollutes the land. And no sacrifice except the execution of the murderer can purify the land from murder.

“ Do not defile the land where you live, for bloodshed defiles the land, and there can be no atonement for the land because of the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of the person who shed it.

So you shall not defile the land in which you live; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

So you shall not pollute the land where you are; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land, for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it.

So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood, it polluteth the land; and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

現在聚集來攻擊你的有許多國的人，就是那些說：『願錫安被戰事蹂躪玷污，願我們親眼見到她遭報』的。

『使人流血的、人也必使他流血；因為上帝造人、是按上帝自己的形像造的。

流了無辜人的血，他們兒女的血，他們所宰獻給迦南之偶像的；那地就因血而被沾污了。

『人子啊，你要對這地說：當我盛怒的日子、你是沒有雨水未得霖雨之地。她的王侯在那中間正如吼叫的獅子抓撕所抓到之物；人的性命他們吞滅了，資財和珍寶他們拿取了；他們使寡婦在那中間增多了。她的祭司強解了我的禮節規矩，褻瀆了我的聖物；聖的和俗的他們都不分別，不潔淨的潔淨的他們也不使人分辨，我的安息日他們也掩目不顧，以致我在他們中間都被褻慢了。她的首領在她裏邊正彷彿豺狼抓撕所抓到之物；他們行兇流人的血，殺滅人的性命，要得不義之財。

然而永恆主向猶大所發的猛烈怒氣還沒有轉消，是為了瑪拿西惹他發怒的那些事的緣故。

他們又委身於毘珥的巴力，喫了祭死神之物；

使眾神言人的血、從世界創立以來所流出來的、都向這一代追討，從亞伯的血起，直到被滅在祭壇和聖所之間的撒迦利亞的血為止；實在的、我告訴你們，都要向這一代追討。

這你們便是控訴自己作證自己是殺害神言人者的子孫了。你們祖宗的惡貫你們去滿盈吧！蛇啊，毒蛇的種啊，你們怎能逃避地獄的定罪呢？故此我差遣神言人智慧人和經學士到你們這裏來；你看吧，有的你們要殺害，要釘十字架，有的你們要在你們的會堂裏鞭打，從這一個城追逼到那一個城；叫流在地上的義血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到巴拉加兒子撒迦利亞的血為止；他就是你們在殿堂和祭壇間所殺害的。

因為你看，永恆主從他的所在出來，要察罰地上居民的罪孽；地必暴露地上的血，不再掩蓋着被殺的人了。

『在永恆主你的上帝所賜給你去取得的土地上、若發現有被刺死的人、他倒在野外，不知道是誰擊殺的，那麼、你的長老和審判官就要出去，量那被刺死的人四圍的城市離那人多遠。離那被刺死的人最近的城，那城的長老要取牛羣中一隻母牛犢、就是未曾被用來耕種過、未曾負軛拉過東西的。那城的長老要把那母牛犢牽下去到一個有活水長流的谿谷、就是未曾被耕種過、未曾被撒過種的，在那裏、就在谿谷間、把那母牛犢的脖子打折了。祭司利未的子孫要湊近前，因為永恆主你的上帝是揀選了他們來事奉他、來奉永恆主的名祝福的。一切爭訟一切毆打的事都要憑他們的口所說的來判決。離那被刺死的人最近的、那城的眾長老要在谿谷間在脖子被打折的母牛犢以上洗手。他們要應聲申明說：「這血我們的手未曾使它流過，我們的眼也未曾看見過。永恆主啊，求你赦宥你人民以色列、就是你所贖救的；不要使流無辜血的罪歸在你人民以色列中間；總要使他們流人血的罪得除淨。」

連地也蒙不潔呢，所以我向那地察罰它的罪愆，那地就把它的居民吐出。

只有起假誓，謊騙、殺害、偷盜、姦淫、兇暴、殺人流血接着殺人流血。因此這地悲哀，其中所有的居民都必衰萎，連田野走獸空中飛鳥也必萎靡不振；就是海中的魚也必被收盡。

又因瑪拿西所流無辜的血；他使無辜的血充滿了耶路撒冷；永恆主不情願赦免。

他的屍體你不可留在示眾木上過夜，總要在當天將他葬埋，因為被掛的人是上帝所咒詛的；這樣、你就不至於使永恆主你的上帝所賜給你以為業的土地蒙不潔。
