這樣，你們就沒有玷污你們所在之地，因為血能玷污地；在地上如果有流人血的，除非流那故意殺人者的血，那地的血就不能得贖。

如是、則不污爾所居之地、蓋流人血、乃污其地、非流殺人者之血、則無以潔之、

如殺人命、則污衊斯土、殺人者未償命、則污仍不去、

毋污爾所居之地、殺人流血、即為污其地、若殺人流血於地、不殺殺人者流其血、則地不得潔、

“‘ Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land, and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

“‘ Do not pollute the land where you are. Murder pollutes the land. Only one thing can pay to remove the pollution in the land where murder has been committed. The blood of the one who spilled another’s blood must be spilled.

You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

This will ensure that the land where you live will not be polluted, for murder pollutes the land. And no sacrifice except the execution of the murderer can purify the land from murder.

“ Do not defile the land where you live, for bloodshed defiles the land, and there can be no atonement for the land because of the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of the person who shed it.

So you shall not defile the land in which you live; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

So you shall not pollute the land where you are; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land, for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it.

So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood, it polluteth the land; and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

現在多國的民集合起來，攻擊你，說：‘願錫安被蹂躪，願我們親眼看見錫安遭報應。’”

流人血的，人也必流他的血；因為神造人，是按著他自己的形象。

他們流了無辜人的血，就是他們自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像；那地就被血污穢了。

“人子啊！你要對這地說：‘在忿怒的日子，你是沒有雨水（“沒有雨水”這譯法是根據古譯本，原文作“未得潔淨”），沒有甘霖之地’。其中的先知叛逆，像吼叫的獅子撕碎獵物；他們把人吞吃，搶奪財物和珍寶，使其中寡婦的數目增多。這地的祭司違反我的律法，褻瀆我的聖物；他們不分別聖俗，也不教導人分辨甚麼是潔淨的和不潔淨的，又掩目不理我的安息日，以致我在他們中間被褻瀆。其中的官長好像撕碎獵物的豺狼，流人的血，滅人的命，為要得不義之財。

但耶和華並沒有把他向猶大所發的烈怒消除，因瑪拿西種種的惡行激怒了他。

他們又歸附巴力．毘珥，吃了祭過死神的祭物。

為要使創世以來眾先知所流的血，從亞伯的血起，直到在祭壇和聖所之間受害的撒迦利亞的血為止，都向這一代追討。’是的，我告訴你們，都要向這一代追討。

這樣，你們就指證自己是殺害先知的人的子孫了。那麼，去完成你們祖先的罪孽吧！你們這些蛇，這些毒蛇所生的啊，你們怎能逃脫地獄的刑罰呢？因此，我差派先知、智慧人和經學家到你們那裡；有些你們要殺害又釘在十字架上，有些你們要在會堂裡鞭打，從一個城趕逐到另一個城。所以，從義人亞伯的血起，到巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止，他就是你們在聖所和祭壇中間所殺的，所有義人在地上所流的血，都要歸在你們身上。

因為你看！耶和華從他的居所出來，要懲罰地上居民的罪孽；大地要露出其上所流的血，不再遮蓋被殺的人。”

“在耶和華你的神賜給你作產業的地上，如果發現有被殺的人，倒臥在田野，又不知道是誰殺死他的，這樣，你的長老和審判官就要出去，量一下從被殺的人那裡到四周城市的距離。看看哪一座城離那被殺的人最近，那城的長老就要從牛群中取一隻母牛犢，就是還沒有耕過地、沒有負過軛的。那城的長老要把母牛犢牽下去，到一個有活水長流的山谷，就是未曾耕種過、未曾撒過種的地方，在那裡要打折母牛犢的頸項。利未支派的祭司的子孫要上前來，因為耶和華你的神揀選了他們事奉他，奉耶和華的名祝福。一切爭訟和一切毆打的事，都要憑他們的話決定。那城所有的長老，就是離那被殺的人最近的，都要在山谷中，在被折斷頸項的母牛犢以上洗手。他們要聲明，說：‘我們的手未曾流過這人的血，我們的眼也未曾看見這事。耶和華啊，求你赦免你的子民以色列，就是你救贖的，不要使流無辜人的血的罪歸在你的子民以色列中間。’這樣，他們流人血的罪就得到赦免了。

連地也被玷污，所以我追討那地的罪孽，那地就把居民吐出去。

只有起假誓、撒謊、殘殺、偷盜、姦淫、行強暴，以至流人血事件相繼而來。因此，這地必悲哀，地上所有的居民、田野的走獸、空中的飛鳥都必衰微、枯萎，連海裡的魚也要滅亡。

又因著他所流無辜人的血，他使耶路撒冷滿了無辜人的血，耶和華決不赦免。

他的屍體不可留在樹上過夜，必須在當日把他埋葬，因為被掛在木頭上的，是受神咒詛的；這樣，你就不至於玷污耶和華你的神賜給你作產業的地了。”
