“ Command the Israelites to give the Levites towns to live in from the inheritance the Israelites will possess. And give them pasturelands around the towns.

“ Command the Israelites to give the Levites towns to live in. The towns must come from the shares of land the people will have as their own. Also give the Levites the grasslands around the towns.

“ Command the people of Israel to give to the Levites some of the inheritance of their possession as cities for them to dwell in. And you shall give to the Levites pasturelands around the cities.

“ Command the people of Israel to give to the Levites from their property certain towns to live in, along with the surrounding pasturelands.

“ Command the Israelites to give cities out of their hereditary property for the Levites to live in and pastureland around the cities.

“ Command the sons of Israel that they give to the Levites from the inheritance of their possession cities to live in; and you shall give to the Levites pasture lands around the cities.

“ Command the children of Israel that they give the Levites cities to dwell in from the inheritance of their possession, and you shall also give the Levites common-land around the cities.

摩西在約旦河東已經把產業分給了呂便、迦得支派和瑪拿西半個支派，只是沒有把產業分給利未人。約瑟的子孫已分為瑪拿西和以法蓮兩個支派。利未人沒有分到地，但有城邑居住，還有城郊可以牧養牲畜，安置財物。

「猶大邊界以南將是你們劃分出來的那塊地，寬十二點五公里，由東至西的長度與其他各支派的地相同，聖殿在那塊地的中央。

「『當你們抽籤把土地分給以色列各支派作產業的時候，要分出一塊獻給耶和華作聖地。聖地要長十二點五公里，寬十公里，整塊地都要聖潔。你們要在其中分出一塊長寬各二百五十米的地建聖殿。殿的周圍要有二十五米寬的空地。聖地當中要量一塊長十二點五公里、寬五公里的地，其中要有聖所，是最聖潔的地方。這塊聖地應歸那些在聖所中事奉耶和華的祭司，作為他們的居所和建聖所之用。另一塊十二點五公里長、五公里寬的土地給那些在聖殿工作的利未人居住，作他們的產業。「『在聖地旁邊要分出一塊十二點五公里長、二點五公里寬的地建城，以色列人都可以到那裡居住。「『在聖地和城的東西兩邊是給君王的土地，西到地中海，東到約旦河，從西到東長度與一個支派所得的土地一樣。這地方要作君王在以色列的產業。我的君王必不再欺壓我的子民，而是按支派把地分給他們。

祂這樣說難道不是為了我們嗎？這話的確是為我們寫的，因為耕耘的和打穀的農夫都應該存著分享收成的盼望勞作。既然我們在你們中間撒下了屬靈的種子，難道就不能從你們那裡得到物質上的收穫嗎？如果別人有權要求你們供應他們，我們豈不更有權嗎？可是我們從來沒有用過這權利，反而凡事忍耐，免得妨礙了基督的福音。你們難道不知道，在聖殿裡事奉的人可以吃聖殿裡的食物，在祭壇前事奉的人可以分享祭壇上的祭物嗎？同樣，主也曾吩咐：傳福音的人理當藉著福音得到生活的供應。

利未人的產業和城區在君王土地的中央，君王的土地在猶大和便雅憫支派之間。

在利未人的城邑裡，利未人有權隨時贖回所賣的房子。如果他們沒有贖回，到了禧年要把房子歸還他們；因為在利未人的城裡，利未人的房屋是他們在以色列人中所擁有的產業。但不可出賣利未人城郊的草場。那是他們永遠擁有的產業。
