‘ But if he struck him with an iron object, so that he died, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.

『倘若人用鐵器擊打人，以致那人死去，那就是故意殺人的；故意殺人的、必須被處死。

若以鐵器擊人至死、是為故殺、故殺人者殺毋赦、

若以鐵器擊人至死、是誠殺人者、必死毋赦、

若以鐵器擊人致死、是為故殺人者、必治之死、

“‘ If anyone strikes someone a fatal blow with an iron object, that person is a murderer; the murderer is to be put to death.

“‘ Suppose a person uses an iron object to hit and kill someone. Then that person is a murderer and must be put to death.

“ But if he struck him down with an iron object, so that he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death.

“ But if someone strikes and kills another person with a piece of iron, it is murder, and the murderer must be executed.

“ If anyone strikes a person with an iron object and death results, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.

‘ But if he strikes him with an iron implement, so that he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer shall surely be put to death.

But if he smote him with an instrument of iron, so that he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

“ If anyone strikes a person with an iron object and death results, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.

And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he[ is] a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

“ But if he hits someone with an iron tool so that he dies, he is a murderer. The murderer must surely be put to death.

‘ If anyone kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death on the testimony of witnesses, but no person shall be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.Moreover, you shall not accept a ransom for the life of a murderer who is condemned to death, but he must be put to death.And you shall not accept a ransom for one who has fled to his city of refuge, so that he may return to live in the land before the death of the priest.So you shall not defile the land in which you live; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

‘ But if he pushed him suddenly, without hostility, or threw any object at him without malicious intent,or had any deadly stone, and without looking he dropped it on him so that he died, while he was not his enemy nor was he seeking to harm him,then the congregation shall judge between the one who fatally struck the victim and the blood avenger in accordance with these ordinances.

“ He who strikes someone so that he dies shall certainly be put to death.Yet if he did not lie in wait for him, but God caused him to fall into his hand, then I will appoint you a place to which he may flee.If, however, someone is enraged against his neighbor, so as to kill him in a cunning way, you are to take him even from My altar, to be put to death.

I certainly will require your lifeblood; from every animal I will require it. And from every person, from every man as his brother I will require the life of a person.Whoever sheds human blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made mankind.

“ But if there is a person who hates his neighbor, and waits in ambush for him and rises up against him and strikes him so that he dies, and he flees to one of these cities,then the elders of his city shall send men and take him from there, and hand him over to the avenger of blood, so that he may die.You shall not pity him, but you shall eliminate the guilt for the bloodshed of the innocent from Israel, so that it may go well for you.
