the land the Lord subdued before the people of Israel— are suitable for livestock, and your servants have livestock.

All of them are in the land the Lord has brought under Israel’s control. This land is just right for livestock. And we have livestock.

the land that the Lord struck down before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.”

The Lord has conquered this whole area for the community of Israel, and it is ideally suited for all our livestock.

永恆主對摩西說：『不要怕他，因為我已經把他和他的人民、跟他的地、都交在你手中；你要待他、像待那住希實本的亞摩利人之王西宏一樣。』

以色列人用刀擊殺了他，取得他的地，從亞嫩河到雅博河，直到亞捫人那裏，亞捫人的邊界雅謝。

「現在你們要起來，往前行，過亞嫩谿谷；看哪，我已將亞摩利人希實本王西宏、和他的地、交在你手中；你要着手取得那地，跟他爭戰。就在今日、我就要開始叫普天下聽見你名聲的萬族民都震懾你懼怕你，以致因你而發顫絞痛。」『我從基底莫曠野差遣使者去見希實本王西宏，用和氣的話說：「求你容我從你的地經過；我只沿路沿路地走，不偏於右，也不偏於左。你可以拿我的銀子糴糧食給我喫，也可以拿我的銀子賣水給我喝；只要容我步行過去，像住西珥的以掃子孫、和住亞珥的摩押人待我一樣，等我過了約但河，去得永恆主我們的上帝所賜給我們的地。」但是希實本王西宏不情願容我們從他那裏經過，因為永恆主你的上帝使他的靈剛愎、心意頑固，為要將他交在你手中、像今日一樣。永恆主對我說：「看哪，我已經着手將西宏和他的地交在你面前；你要着手取得他的地以為業。」那時西宏和他的眾民都出來，在雅雜戰場對我們接戰。永恆主我們的上帝將他交在我們面前，我們就把他和他的兒子們跟眾民都擊敗了。那時我們攻取了他所有的城市，將一切有男丁的城市、連女人帶小孩、都盡行毁滅歸神，連一個殘存的人也沒有留下；只留下我們所劫為己有的牲口、和我們攻取的城市中所掠得的東西。
