耶和华对摩西说：“以色列人中所有头生的男子，一个月及以上的，你都要数点；登记他们的姓名。

The Lord said to Moses,“ Count all the firstborn Israelite males who are a month old or more and make a list of their names.

“你要照着利未人的父家、宗族，数点他们；所有男丁，一个月及以上的，你都要数点。”

就站在营门中，说：“凡是属耶和华的，都可以到我这里来。”于是，所有利未的子孙都到他那里聚集。摩西对他们说：“耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘你们各人要把自己的剑佩在大腿上，在营中往来行走，从这门到那门；你们各人要杀自己的兄弟、邻舍和亲人。’”利未的子孙照着摩西的话作了；那一天，人民中被杀的约有三千人。摩西说：“今天你们要奉献自己归耶和华为圣，因为各人牺牲了自己的儿子和兄弟，好使耶和华今天赐福给你们。”

那时，锡安余剩、仍留在耶路撒冷的人，就是所有登记在耶路撒冷活人名册上的，都必称为圣。

“你要拣选利未人代替以色列人所有头生的，也要拣选利未人的牲畜代替以色列人的牲畜；利未人要归我，我是耶和华。

“看哪，我从以色列人中，拣选了利未人，代替以色列人所有头生的，就是他们的长子，所以利未人要归我。

有名字登记在天上众长子的教会，有审判众人的神，有被成全的义人的灵魂，

然而不要因为鬼服了你们就欢喜，却要因为你们的名字记录在天上而欢喜。”

耶和华登记万民的时候，必记着：“这一个是生在那里的。”（细拉）

然而，神坚固的根基已经立定，上面刻着这样的印：“主认识属于他的人”和“凡称呼主名的人都应当离开不义”。

得胜的，也必这样身穿白衣，我决不从生命册上涂抹他的名，我还要在我父和他的众天使面前，承认他的名。

我真诚的同道啊，我也求你帮助她们。这两个女人，还有革利免和其余的同工，都跟我在福音的事工上一同劳苦，他们的名字都在生命册上。

这些人没有跟妇女在一起而使自己玷污，他们原是童身的。羊羔无论到哪里去，他们都跟随他。这些人是从世人中买来的，作初熟的果子归给神和羊羔。
