七月十五日、爾當有聖會、無論何工、悉毋作、當於主前守節期七日、

“‘ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days.

“‘ On the 15th day of the seventh month, come together for a special service. Do not do any regular work. Celebrate the Feast of Booths for seven days to honor the Lord.

“ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.

“ Five days later, on the fifteenth day of the same month, you must call another holy assembly of all the people, and you may do no ordinary work on that day. It is the beginning of the Festival of Shelters, a seven day festival to the Lord.

“ You are to hold a sacred assembly on the fifteenth day of the seventh month; you do not do any daily work. You are to celebrate a seven-day festival for the LORD.

‘ Then on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work, and you shall celebrate with a feast to the Lord for seven days.

‘ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.

And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto Jehovah seven days:

“你把禾场的谷、酒榨的酒收藏以后，就要守住棚节七日。守节的时候，你和你儿女、仆婢，并住在你城里的利未人，以及寄居的与孤儿寡妇，都要欢乐。

七月十五日守节的时候，七日他都要如此行，照逾越节的赎罪祭、燔祭、素祭，和油的条例一样。”

所有来攻击耶路撒冷列国中剩下的人，必年年上来敬拜大君王万军之耶和华，并守住棚节。地上万族中，凡不上耶路撒冷敬拜大君王万军之耶和华的，必无雨降在他们的地上。埃及族若不上来，雨也不降在他们的地上；凡不上来守住棚节的列国人，耶和华也必用这灾攻击他们。这就是埃及的刑罚和那不上来守住棚节之列国的刑罚。

从头一天直到末一天，以斯拉每日念神的律法书。众人守节七日，第八日照例有严肃会。

又要守收割节，所收的是你田间所种、劳碌得来初熟之物。并在年底收藏，要守收藏节。

道成了肉身，住在我们中间，充充满满地有恩典有真理。我们也见过他的荣光，正是父独生子的荣光。

在收割初熟麦子的时候要守七七节；又在年底要守收藏节。

耶和华对摩西说：“你晓谕以色列人说：这七月十五日是住棚节，要在耶和华面前守这节七日。第一日当有圣会，什么劳碌的工都不可做。七日内要将火祭献给耶和华。第八日当守圣会，要将火祭献给耶和华。这是严肃会，什么劳碌的工都不可做。“这是耶和华的节期，就是你们要宣告为圣会的节期；要将火祭、燔祭、素祭、祭物，并奠祭，各归各日，献给耶和华。这是在耶和华的安息日以外，又在你们的供物和所许的愿，并甘心献给耶和华的以外。“你们收藏了地的出产，就从七月十五日起，要守耶和华的节七日。第一日为圣安息；第八日也为圣安息。第一日要拿美好树上的果子和棕树上的枝子，与茂密树的枝条并河旁的柳枝，在耶和华你们的神面前欢乐七日。每年七月间，要向耶和华守这节七日。这为你们世世代代永远的定例。你们要住在棚里七日；凡以色列家的人都要住在棚里，好叫你们世世代代知道，我领以色列人出埃及地的时候曾使他们住在棚里。我是耶和华你们的神。”

他们见律法上写着，耶和华藉摩西吩咐以色列人要在七月节住棚，

他因着信，就在所应许之地作客，好像在异地居住帐棚，与那同蒙一个应许的以撒、雅各一样。因为他等候那座有根基的城，就是神所经营所建造的。因着信，连撒拉自己，虽然过了生育的岁数，还能怀孕，因她以为那应许她的是可信的。所以从一个仿佛已死的人就生出子孙，如同天上的星那样众多，海边的沙那样无数。这些人都是存着信心死的，并没有得着所应许的；却从远处望见，且欢喜迎接，又承认自己在世上是客旅，是寄居的。
