“‘ On the day of firstfruits, when you present to the Lord an offering of new grain during the Festival of Weeks, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

“‘ On the day you gather the first share of your crops, present to the Lord an offering of your first grain. Do it during the Feast of Weeks. Come together for a special service. Do not do any regular work.

“ On the day of the firstfruits, when you offer a grain offering of new grain to the Lord at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work,

“ At the Festival of Harvest, when you present the first of your new grain to the Lord, you must call an official day for holy assembly, and you may do no ordinary work on that day.

“ On the day of firstfruits, you are to hold a sacred assembly when you present an offering of new grain to the LORD at your Festival of Weeks; you are not to do any daily work.

‘ Also on the day of the first fruits, when you present a new grain offering to the Lord in your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work.

‘ Also on the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new grain offering to the Lord at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work.

Also in the day of the first- fruits, when ye offer a new meal- offering unto Jehovah in your feast of weeks, ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work;

爾所種之禾稼、成熟刈穫之時、亦為一節、百穀從田間收藏、年終之時、亦為一節、

麥秋之初、當守七七節期、百穀收藏歲終之時、亦當守節期、

爾告以色列人云、爾曹至我所賜爾之地、刈獲稼穡、當以初刈之禾一束、奉於祭司、

自安息日之次日、即獻而搖禾束之日、當數七七日、至第七安息日之次日、共計五十日、乃以新麵備素祭獻於主、由爾之居所、當取細麵伊法十分之二、加以酵炊成二餅、奉之而搖、用以獻初實於主、此餅之外、更用未盈歲無疵之牡羔七、牡犢一、牡山羊二、獻於主為火焚祭、又有配獻之素祭、及灌奠之酒、為火祭、為馨香獻於主、又獻牡山羊一、為贖罪祭、與未盈歲之牡羔一、為平安祭、祭司取此二羔與初實之麥所作之餅、同搖於主前、是為獻於主之聖物、必歸於祭司、是日必宣告聖會、無論何工、悉毋作、於爾所居之各處、為歷代永定之例、

當核七七日、自初用鐮刈榖之日、核其七七日、遂於主爾天主前守七七節、循主爾天主賜福於爾、隨心所願、獻以禮物、爾與子女奴婢、與居爾邑之利未人、及居於爾中之孤寡、俱可於主爾天主所選為其名所在之處、歡樂於主爾之天主前、

首日當有聖會、無論何工、悉毋作、

彼循己旨、以真道生我儕、使我儕於其所造之萬物中、為初實之果、○

但基督誠復活、在寢者中為首起者、

五旬節既至、門徒同心集於一處、忽自天有聲、如烈風迅吹、充滿所坐之室、遂見有分歧之舌、其狀如火、而止於各人上、眾遂滿於聖神、能言各國方言、隨聖神所賜以言者、時有虔敬之猶太人、自天下各國而來、寓耶路撒冷、此聲一作、眾集、聞門徒言眾人各處方言、甚駭異、驚奇相語曰、言者非皆迦利利人乎、乃聞其言、竟我各人本土之方言、何也、我儕帕提亞人、米弟亞人、以攔人、居米所波大米、猶太、加帕多嘉、本都、亞西亞、弗呂嘉、旁非利亞、伊及、並附近古利奈之呂彼亞、諸方之人、來自羅瑪之旅人、或猶太人、或入猶太教者、基利提人、與亞拉伯人、咸聽其以我各處方言、述天主之大用、於是眾驚訝猶豫、互問曰、此何意、有戲之曰、此人酣醉酣醉原文作充以新酒耳、
