“ Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among Korah’s followers, who banded together against the Lord, but he died for his own sin and left no sons.

“ Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.

I the Lord have spoken this. I will surely do so to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.’”

so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are the Dathan and Abiram, representatives of the congregation, who contended against Moses and Aaron in the company of Korah, when they contended against the Lord;and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah when that company died, when the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men; and they became a sign.

Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men;and they rose up before Moses with some of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, representatives of the congregation, men of renown.They gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them,“ You take too much upon yourselves, for all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?”

and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly.Then all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said,“ Lest the earth swallow us up also!”And a fire came out from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense.

Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those who died in the Korah incident.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Then Jesus said to them again,“ I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.”

And Korah gathered all the congregation against them at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation.

Now Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
