Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

“耶和华啊，你是赐人生命的上帝，求你立一个人做会众的首领，

「願耶和華萬人之靈的神，立一個人治理會眾，

「願耶和華，賜萬人氣息的上帝，立一個人治理會眾，

「願耶和華，賜萬人氣息的神，立一個人治理會眾，

「耶和華啊，你是賜人生命的上帝，求你立一個人做會眾的首領，

“願耶和華萬人之靈的神，立一個人治理會眾，

『願永恆主萬人之靈的上帝立一個人來治理會眾，

請耶和華、世人諸神之上帝、簡立一人、統轄會眾、

耶和華上帝乎、爾以生氣賜於億兆、請立一人、統轄會眾、

天主耶和華、賜生氣於一切身軀者、或作天主耶和華賜生命於凡有血氣者求立一人治理此會、

“ May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community

“ Lord, you are the God who gives life and breath to all living things. Please put someone in charge of this community.

“ Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation

“ O Lord, you are the God who gives breath to all creatures. Please appoint a new man as leader for the community.

“ May the LORD, the God who gives breath to all, appoint a man over the community

“ May the Lord, the God of the spirits of humanity, appoint a man over the congregation,

“ Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

“ May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the community

“ Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all humankind, appoint a man over the community,

“ Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected[ us], and we gave[ them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I,[ even] I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep[ that are] scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and[ in] a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up[ that which was] broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen,[ and] whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over you.

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight[ thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;Neither as being lords over[ God’s] heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

And David my servant[ shall be] king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them,[ even] my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.
