从耶和华来的邪灵又降在扫罗身上，扫罗手里拿枪坐在屋里，大卫正用手弹琴。

那时，亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈侍立在约柜前。他们说：“我可以再出去与我弟兄便雅悯人打仗吗？还是停战呢？”耶和华说：“你们可以上去，因为明日我必把他交在你手中。”

次日，从上帝来的邪灵紧抓住扫罗，他就在家中胡言乱语。大卫照常弹琴，扫罗手里拿着枪。扫罗把枪一掷，心里说：“我要将大卫刺透，钉在墙上。”大卫闪避了他两次。
