当耶和华发怒的日子，他们的金银不能救自己；耶和华妒忌的火必烧灭全地，要向地上所有的居民施行可怕的毁灭。

我们要惹主的嫉恨吗？我们比他更强吗？

我以上帝嫉妒的爱来爱你们，因为我曾把你们许配给一个丈夫，要把你们如同贞洁的童女献给基督。

信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不到永生，而且上帝的愤怒常在他身上。”

耶和华必不愿饶恕他；耶和华的怒气与妒忌必向他如烟冒出，将这书上所写的一切诅咒都加在他身上，耶和华也要从天下涂去他的名。

我也要审判你，如审判淫妇和流人血的妇女一样。我要在愤怒和妒忌中使流血的罪归到你身上。

因此，他说要灭绝他们；若非他所拣选的摩西在他面前站在破裂之处，使他的愤怒转消，恐怕他就灭绝他们了。

他们将扫罗和他儿子约拿单的骸骨葬在便雅悯的洗拉，在扫罗父亲基士的坟墓里。他们遵照王所吩咐的一切做了。此后上帝垂听了为那地的祈求。

因为耶和华—你的上帝是吞灭的火，是忌邪的上帝。

“人若在田间或葡萄园里牧放牲畜，任凭牲畜上别人田里去吃，他就要拿自己田间和葡萄园里上好的赔偿。

耶和华是忌邪、报应的上帝。耶和华施报应，大有愤怒；耶和华向他的敌人报应，向他的仇敌怀怒。

那时，非尼哈起而干预，瘟疫这才止息。

不可敬拜别神，因为耶和华是忌邪的上帝，他的名是忌邪者。

约书亚说：“你为什么给我们招惹灾祸呢？今日耶和华必使你遭受灾祸。”于是以色列众人用石头打死他，用火焚烧他们，把石头扔在其上。众人在亚干身上堆了一大堆石头，直存到今日。于是耶和华转意，不发他的烈怒。因此，那地方名叫亚割谷，直到今日。

约书亚对百姓说：“你们不能事奉耶和华，因为他是神圣的上帝，是忌邪的上帝，必不赦免你们的过犯罪恶。
