The people rise like a lioness; they rouse themselves like a lion that does not rest till it devours its prey and drinks the blood of its victims.”

The Israelites are going to wake up like a female lion. They are going to get up like a male lion. They are like a lion that won’t rest until it eats what it has caught. They are like a lion that won’t rest until it drinks the blood of what it has killed.”

Behold, a people! As a lioness it rises up and as a lion it lifts itself; it does not lie down until it has devoured the prey and drunk the blood of the slain.”

These people rise up like a lioness, like a majestic lion rousing itself. They refuse to rest until they have feasted on prey, drinking the blood of the slaughtered!”

猶大是隻小獅子；我兒啊，你獵取了食物就上到洞穴去。他屈身伏臥，好像公獅，又像母獅，誰敢驚動他呢？

便雅憫是隻撕掠的豺狼，早晨吞吃他的獵物，晚上瓜分他的擄物。”

論到迦得，他說：“那使迦得擴張的，是應該稱頌的，迦得蹲下如母獅，他撕裂膀臂，連頭頂也撕裂。

那些王在位的時候，天上的神必興起另一個永不滅亡的國，國權必不歸給別族的人。這國必砸碎毀滅其他各國；並且這國必存到永遠。

因為耶和華對我這樣說：“獅子和少壯獅子怎樣因捕獲獵物而咆哮，雖然召集了許多的牧人來攻擊牠們，牠們並不因他們的聲音而驚慌，也不因他們的喧嚷而蹲伏；照樣，萬軍之耶和華必降臨在錫安山和它的岡陵上爭戰。”

那時雅各的餘民，必在萬國中，在許多民族裡，像樹林裡百獸中的獅子，又像幼獅在羊群中；他若經過，就必踐踏、撕碎，沒有人可以拯救。願你的手舉起高過你的敵人，願你的一切仇敵都被剪除。

長老中有一位對我說：“不要哭！看哪，那從猶大支派出來的獅子，大衛的根，他已經得勝了，他能夠展開那書卷，拆開它的七印。”

獅子的洞穴在哪裡？餵養幼獅的地方在哪裡？公獅、母獅和幼獅不受驚嚇之處，可以閒遊的地方又在哪裡呢？

領他出埃及的神，對他好像野牛的角；他要吞吃敵國，打碎他們的骨頭，用箭射透他們。他蹲伏躺下，好像公獅，又像母獅，誰敢使他起立呢？給你祝福的，願他蒙福；咒詛你的，願他受咒詛。’”

“到那日，我必使猶大的族長好像木柴中的火盆，又好像禾捆中的火把；他們必向左右吞滅周圍的萬族，但耶路撒冷的人必仍在城中原處安居。

房角石、帳棚樁、作戰的弓和所有的統治者，都從猶大而出。他們必像勇士，在戰場上把仇敵踐踏在街上的泥土中，他們必爭戰，因為耶和華與他們同在，他們必使敵方的騎士羞愧。

我看見他，卻不是現在；我望見他，卻不是近處；必有一星從雅各而出，必有一杖從以色列興起；他必打碎摩押的額角，粉碎一切舍特人的頭頂。

就是在百獸中最威猛的獅子，牠面對任何野獸，也不會退縮；

獅子吼叫，誰不害怕；主耶和華宣告，誰敢不代他傳話？

我觀看，見天開了。有一匹白馬，那騎馬的稱為“忠信”和“真實”；他按著公義審判和作戰。他的眼睛好像火燄，頭上戴著許多皇冠，他身上寫著一個名字，這名字除了他自己沒有人認識。他身穿一件浸過血的衣服，他的名字稱為“神的道”。天上的眾軍，都騎著白馬，穿著潔白的細麻衣，跟隨著他。有一把利劍從他口中吐出來，他要用這劍擊打列國，他必用鐵杖治理他們；並且還要踹全能神烈怒的壓酒池。在他的衣服和大腿上，寫著“萬王之王，萬主之主”的名號。我又看見一位天使站在太陽中，向高空所有的飛鳥大聲呼喊說：“你們來吧！齊集起來赴神的大筵席！可以吃君王的肉、將領的肉、壯士的肉，馬和騎士的肉，以及自由的、作奴隸的、大的、小的，所有人的肉。”我看見那獸和地上的眾王，以及他們的眾軍，都集合起來，要跟那騎白馬的和他的眾軍作戰。那獸被捉住了；連同在獸面前用奇事迷惑人，使他們接受獸的記號，並且拜獸像的那假先知，也一起被捉住了。他們兩個就活活地被拋在燒著硫磺的火湖裡去。其餘的人都被那位騎白馬的口中所吐出來的劍殺了。所有飛鳥都吃飽了他們的肉。

他們像急於撕碎獵物的獅子，又像蹲伏在隱密處的幼獅。
