And Moses gave to them, to the people of Gad and to the people of Reuben and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land and its cities with their territories, the cities of the land throughout the country.And the people of Gad built Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer,Atroth-shophan, Jazer, Jogbehah,Beth-nimrah and Beth-haran, fortified cities, and folds for sheep.And the people of Reuben built Heshbon, Elealeh, Kiriathaim,Nebo, and Baal-meon( their names were changed), and Sibmah. And they gave other names to the cities that they built.And the sons of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were in it.And Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he settled in it.And Jair the son of Manasseh went and captured their villages, and called them Havvoth-jair.And Nobah went and captured Kenath and its villages, and called it Nobah, after his own name.

Now these are the kings of the land whom the people of Israel defeated and took possession of their land beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the Valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon, with all the Arabah eastward:Sihon king of the Amorites who lived at Heshbon and ruled from Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and from the middle of the valley as far as the river Jabbok, the boundary of the Ammonites, that is, half of Gilead,and the Arabah to the Sea of Chinneroth eastward, and in the direction of Beth-jeshimoth, to the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, southward to the foot of the slopes of Pisgah;and Og king of Bashan, one of the remnant of the Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edreiand ruled over Mount Hermon and Salecah and all Bashan to the boundary of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and over half of Gilead to the boundary of Sihon king of Heshbon.Moses, the servant of the Lord, and the people of Israel defeated them. And Moses the servant of the Lord gave their land for a possession to the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

and to the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave the territory from Gilead as far as the Valley of the Arnon, with the middle of the valley as a border, as far over as the river Jabbok, the border of the Ammonites;the Arabah also, with the Jordan as the border, from Chinnereth as far as the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah on the east.
