Israel, however, put him to the sword and took over his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, but only as far as the Ammonites, because their border was fortified.

But Israel put him to death with their swords. They took over his land. They took everything from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. But they didn’t take over any of the land of the Ammonites. That’s because the Ammonites had built strong forts along their border.

And Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as to the Ammonites, for the border of the Ammonites was strong.

But the Israelites slaughtered them with their swords and occupied their land from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. They went only as far as the Ammonite border because the boundary of the Ammonites was fortified.

夜未央即起、使二妻二婢及十一子濟雅泊渡。

爾以邦國四境、分賜於民、遂據西宏之地、乃希實本王之國、巴山王噩之邦、

我導爾至約但東、亞摩哩人地、彼與爾戰、我付之爾手、滅於爾前、據有其地。

又曰、以色列支派中、孰不至米斯巴、詣耶和華前乎。核數其民、乃知基列之雅疋、不至營壘、入於會中。

至於斯土、希實本王西宏、巴山王噩、出與我戰、而我擊之、

摩西以亞摩哩王西宏、巴山王噩之地、及境內之邑垣鄉里、俱給伽得支派、流便支派、約瑟子馬拿西支派之半。○伽得人建置邑垣、即底本、亞大錄、亞羅耳、押律、說反、雅設、約庇哈、伯寧喇、伯哈蘭、亦作羊牢。流便人建希實本、以利亞利、基烈亭、尼破、巴力免、悉馬、有易其名者、有仍其舊者。馬拿西子、馬吉之後裔、往基列、驅逐亞摩哩人、而據其地、摩西即以其地錫之、使處其中。馬拿西子睚耳、取諸鄉里、稱之為哈物睚耳、挪巴取基納、與其鄉里、稱之為挪巴。

其半自亞嫩河、至亞捫界之雅泊河、其間有平原、沿至約但河濱、自基尼烈至鹽海之谷、近比士迦山麓之東、我悉與流便伽得二支派。○

流便支派、伽得支派、牲畜成群、見牙設基列二地、堪為游牧之所、乃就摩西、及祭司以利亞撒、暨諸會長前、曰、亞大錄、底本、牙設、寧喇、希實本、以利亞利、示班、尼破、庇穩、斯地也、即耶和華助以色列族所取者、堪為游牧之所、僕等有群畜、

再往張幕於亞嫩東、亞嫩有溪在野、源出亞摩哩境、在亞摩哩摩押接壤之間。

亦伐約但東、二亞摩哩王、即希實本王西宏、及都亞大綠之巴山王噩、

以法蓮人咸集、往北、謂耶弗大曰、爾往攻亞捫族、不招我偕往、曷故、我必燬爾、及爾家室。耶弗大曰、我與我民、與亞捫族有釁、曾來招爾、爾不我救。

約但東、日出之所、自亞嫩溪、至黑門山、其間之平原、以色列族擊列王而據其地。即都希實本亞摩哩王西宏、其所轄之地、自亞嫩溪濱之亞囉耳、及洲中之邑、基列地之半、至亞捫族界之雅泊河。自基尼烈海東、至鹽海之谷、近伯耶西末、又自南至比士迦山麓。

以色列族之上帝耶和華、以西宏及其人民付於以色列族手、使之攻擊、據有其地。得亞摩哩境、自亞嫩至雅泊、自曠野至約但。是則使民得亞摩哩人之地者、乃以色列族之上帝耶和華也、爾豈能得斯土乎。

擊強國、戮大王兮、亞摩哩王西宏、巴山王噩、及迦南列國之王、亦就戮兮。以其地賜選民以色列族為業兮、

馬拿西又有支派之半、與流便伽得二支派、曾得其業、在約但東、即耶和華僕摩西所予者。自亞嫩河濱之亞囉耳、及洲中之邑、與米底巴平原、至底本、暨都希實本之亞摩哩王西宏諸邑、至亞捫族之界。

蓋耶和華曾諭我曰、我以西宏及其地、畀於爾手、汝可得之、據有其地。西宏率眾而出、至雅哈斯與我戰。我之上帝耶和華、以西宏王、及王子臣民、悉付於我、為我所敗、取其城邑、男女長幼、俱行殲滅、靡有孑遺、邑中之貨財、以及牲畜、為我所得、亞嫩河濱之亞囉耳、及洲中之邑、迄於基列、無邑不服、乃我上帝耶和華盡付於我、惟亞捫族之地、雅泊河濱、山中之邑、為我上帝耶和華所禁者、我不侵奪。
